Mike Hegwood | Pastor

Pastor Mike Hegwood was ordained into the ministry in June of 1965 by The Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church of Crystal Springs, Mississippi. He has pastored five churches since that time. They include Grant Avenue Baptist Church(Chinese) in El Paso, Texas,  Longview Baptist Church in Deville, Louisiana, Buras Triumph Baptist in Buras, Louisiana,  Walker Baptist Church in Walker, Louisiana, and Loranger Baptist Church in Loranger, Louisiana.

Pastor Mike was called as pastor of Loranger Baptist on June 7, 1997 and has served as pastor since that date. He studied at Mississippi Baptist College, then received his degree from the University of Texas at El Paso(UTEP) in May of 1971.  He received his Masters degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in May of 1984.

Devan + Tiffany Rodriguez | Youth pastors

Devan and Tiffany Rodriguez have been members of Loranger Baptist Church for several years. Both graduated from Loranger High School and then attended Southeastern Louisiana University. In December of 2017, they graduated from Southeastern, Devan in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Tiffany in Social Work. The pair got engaged shortly before graduation and were married in May of 2018.

Throughout their time in college, both stayed actively involved in the youth group by assisting on Wednesday nights. In October of 2018, Devan and Tiffany officially became the youth leaders at Loranger Baptist Church. They look forward to actively growing with the students and showing them how to pursue a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Lizzie Armstrong | Worship Leader

Lizzie Armstrong, along with the rest of the worship team, help our congregation draw near to the Lord in song.  Their faithfulness to this ministry is a blessing to the congregation. They help us prepare our hearts to hear God's Word.
